Supplemental training may be required for all individuals completing specific tasks in a laboratory (research or clinical; biological or chemical).

Affiliating an Existing CITI Account with ISMMS

To affiliate your existing CITI account with ISMMS follow the steps below:

  • Log in to CITI Program.
  • Select “Click here to affiliate with another institution”, and select “Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai”.
  • Enter your work email account, your name as recognized by HR and your life number (or its equivalent) in the CITI profile page.
  •  Add the course(s) you need to complete and click “Submit”.

CITI Program Training – OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens

Required For

This is required training for all ISMMS employees with known or suspected exposure to Bloodborne pathogens, including Basic Sciences Researchers working working in HIV, HBV and HCV laboratories.

The CITI Program - Shipping Regulated Biological Materials training is supplemental to EH&S required training for shipments of Dangerous Goods. Completion of the CITI Program - Shipping Regulated Biological Materials training does not authorize shipment of Dangerous Goods, which must be reviewed by Environmental Health & Safety.
