Gift – GCO

A gift is the voluntary, non-reciprocal transfer of money or property from a donor to an institution. The donor may be an individual, a corporation or a non-profit organization. The donor does not expect anything of value in return other than recognition and does not have control over expenditure of the funds. A gift may meet the interests of the donor and can be restricted or unrestricted.

Academic Research Organization (ARO) Agreements

ARO agreements are formal, written contracts between the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and commercial or other biomedical entities. Gift Agreements – Including Foundations

When an agreement is for philanthropic support from a foundation, corporate foundation, or corporation, the PI should contact the Development Office, Corporate and Foundation Relations Department to obtain the appropriate signature(s) from the Senior Vice President for Development, and on occasion from the President and CEO and/or the Dean.
