Committee on Special Awards (CoSA)
Many foundations limit the number of grant applications that can be submitted from any single institution. The Committee on Special Awards (CoSA) sends email announcements about these grant opportunities, and assists faculty in preparing the applications. Corporate and Foundation Relations (C&F)
The Corporate and Foundation Relations Team in the Mount Sinai Development Office is able to assist with applications for certain non-government grants. This includes, but is not limited to, grants from foundations, both professionalized and family, corporations, and professional organizations and associations. The priority of the Development Office is to provide assistance for funding initiatives that fall within Mount Sinai’s strategic plan. The team can assist faculty with the every step of the grant cycle, such as Letters of Intent, full application, grant agreements, reporting requirements and other stewardship. Available services include, but are not limited to, collaborating with faculty on proposal development and strategy, editing narrative materials, navigating online portals, securing necessary signatures and paperwork, and liaising with a foundation or other organization on behalf of the faculty. Please note that all sponsored projects must also be submitted through the Mount Sinai Grants and Contracts Office via InfoEd.
