
Dr. Anuradha Lala-Trinadade, MD, and her team are developing SheAligned, a non-invasive, multimodal wearable platform designed for perimenopausal women. It integrates biosensing (e.g., skin temperature, heart rate variability, respiration, sleep, and sweat-based biomarkers including cortisol and sex hormones) with a mobile application that generates longitudinal cardiometabolic, sleep, and hormonal stability scores. In addition, women will participate in audiovisual-guided mind-body interventions that are triggered by physiologic stress markers. Together, these components form a system that predicts cardiometabolic risk and provides women with detailed information about their body to improve the management of perimenopausal symptoms.
Dr. Lala-Trinadade’s project will advance SheAligned from a defined concept toward an integrated, prototype-ready system for perimenopausal women. The work will focus on de-risking the core technical and user-experience elements of the platform: multimodal physiologic sensing, sweat-based biomarker measurement, mobile data visualization, and physiologically triggered audiovisual mind-body interventions. Her project will also refine clinical use cases and establish the evidence, development milestones, and partnerships required for a future pilot study and follow-on funding.
