Mount Sinai’s Data Science Informatics and Biostatical Resources

Jun 1, 2021 | Conduits News

Science and technology have created tremendous opportunities to improve and extend our lives.

Major inventions and innovations that have shaped modern medicine were born out of close collaborations between engineers, biomedical researchers and clinicians, ranging from medical devices and highly sensitive and accurate bioimaging systems, to new drug target discovery and accelerated drug discovery.

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) and the ConduITS CTSA support the Institutional commitment to advancing and accelerating interdisciplinary translational and patient-oriented research by providing state-of-the-art support and a wealth of resources for investigators to educate, train, and develop the next generation of clinical informaticists and meet the workforce needs in health information technology and health care for the 21st century. Our goal are to bring the highest quality of care possible to our patients.

To realize this mission requires the collaborative efforts of a broadly interdisciplinary faculty and the creation of investigative teams that focus on specific aspects of Personalized Medicine, Data Science, Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) which have the potential to transform the delivery of clinical care, improve patient outcomes and revolutionize medicine and health care.

A compilation of the Data Science Informatics and Biostatical resources available across the Mount Sinai landscape can be found here on the Research Roadmap built by the Office of Research Services (ORS) within the ConduITS Institutes for Translational Sciences at Mount Sinai.

If you have questions about any of these resources please place a Research 411 Help Desk Ticket.

ConduITS is supported by NCATS of the NIH’s CTSA Program. Any use of CTSA-supported resources requires citation of grant number UL1TR001433 awarded to ISMMS in the acknowledgment section of every publication resulting from this support. Adherence to the NIH Public Access Policy is also required.
