The Biosafety Program offers Office Hours providing ISMMS faculty and staff guidance regarding the IBC and Institutional Biosafety Program. During these sessions, the Biosafety Program staff assist with all questions related to the IBC submission process, in-lab reviews, etc.

Cancer Biostatistics Virtual Walk-In Clinic

1st Wednesday of Every Month, 1:00 – 2:00 PM

A biostatistician will be available for quick statistical consultation on a first come, first served basis. The purpose of this clinic is to answer general statistical questions and to provide guidance for current and future cancer research projects.

If additional assistance is needed outside of the allotted time, please visit the Institute for Health Care Delivery Science for Tisch Cancer Institute Biostatistics Shared Resource Facility resources and guidelines.

ClinicalTrials.gov Office Hours

Tuesdays 2pm-3pm

The ORS team will be offering weekly office hours to support researchers with ClinicalTrials.gov (CT.gov) related questions

The team will help you in the following Zoom Breakout Rooms:

  • MSM Biobank
    • The MSM Biobank Digital Concierge helps researchers discover, access, and utilize biobank-linked resources at Mount Sinai, including genomic, phenotypic, and electronic health record data. The team provides guidance on data access workflows, project registration, and linkage between genetic data and OMOP-CDM clinical data. The service provides an overview of available MSM Biobank genomic resources on Minerva, including whole-exome sequencing (WES) and imputed genotype data.
    • The AIR•MS team helps you to query multi-modal data and run AI analyses utilizing a high-performance in-memory database built on SAP HANA. AIR•MS is connected to Minerva via Juypter notebooks.
  • High Performance Computing (HPC)
    • The HPC team helps you develop and run your computational science and data science on Minerva, consisting of >2 petaflops of computational power (CPUs+GPUs), 32 petabytes of storage and over 1,000 applications.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
    • The AI team guides you to leverage AI tools for your research.
  • Data Ark Data Commons
    • The Data Ark team supports you to utilize publicly available and Mount Sinai-specific data sets located on Minerva.
  • Mount Sinai Data Warehouse (MSDW)
    • The MSDW team guides you to identify and utilize clinical and operational data from MSHS’s health care processes.
  • Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap)
    • The REDCap team assists you to build and manage online surveys and projects.
  • Electronic Research Application Portal (eRAP)
    • The eRAP team helps you to use the administrative functions of custom eRAP databases.
  • Epic Research Training
    • Epic Research provides support for issues related to existing functionality and offers guidance for utilizing Epic for future research endeavors.
  • DTP Academic Technology
    • DTP Academic Technology provides support for computer-related issues, software questions, and IT concerns.
  • DTP Cybersecurity
    • Protect your data, laptop and other digital resources.
  • Levy Library Resources and Services
    • Use Library resources to find and manage evidence, data, and measurement instruments. Guidance on publication analysis and research impact, evidence synthesis, reference management, and data sharing.

The Digital Concierge is first-come, first-served, following pre-registration. If you have questions about more than one research resource at Mount Sinai, we’ll assist you from one Zoom breakout room to the next.

STAT-CHAT: Free Virtual Consultation Service

Every Monday 2:00 – 3:00 PM 

Online – Zoom Webinar

Free, virtual, consultation service meant to resolve easy problems and answer quick questions about such topics as data analysis, study design, and database. All faculty, fellows, residents, staff, or medical students are welcome to use this service for quick statistics-related questions. Two statisticians are available for an hour on a first-come, first-served basis. Each consultation should be about 15 minutes.
