Klarman Family Foundation: Eating Disorders Research Grants Program

Encouraged research:

  • Research to strengthen the connections between the epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, and molecular biology of eating disorders
  • Identify the mechanisms through which genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors lead to eating disorders
  • Neuro-circuitry of complex, motivated behavior (e.g., fear conditioning, reward behavior, and addiction research)

Amount/Duration: 1 year pilot projects: up to $150,000 inclusive of 10% indirect costs. 1-3 year research projects: up to $250K per year, inclusive of 10% indirect costs. 10% indirect costs.

Eligibility: Applicants must hold a faculty appointment at a nonprofit academic, medical, or research institution in the United States, Canada, or Israel
