Cancer Research Foundation: Young Investigator Awards

Seed funding opportunity. Particular interest in funding research on decoding the mechanics of cancer, its development, diagnosis and treatment, using epigenetics, genomics, informatics, molecular/bio-chemical engineering, or image-oriented research, among other scientific disciplines.

Amount/Duration: $100,000 over 2 years. Covers materials, lab technicians, lab services and other costs. Award may not be used to fund PI salary, indirects, or travel.

Eligibility: Awards for early career researchers who have:

  • have a limited established funding “track record”
  • have not yet qualified for significant externa funding at the time of application
  • have/are applying for membership and appointment at orgs affiliated with Comprehensive Cancer Centers recognized by the National Cancer
