Clinical Research Award Pilot Projects

Award to fund clinical research among trainees and junior faculty in the field of gastroenterology.

Amount/Duration: $15,000 for 1 year

Eligibility: Must already be a member to apply by the 12/6/19 deadline

“Smaller Programs” Clinical Research Award

Award for research projects that focus on Gastroenterology at smaller (15 or fewer faculty) programs.

Amount/Duration: $35,000

Eligibility:

  • At least 1 PI must already be a member to apply by the 12/6/19 deadline
  • Junior faculty at smaller, qualifying institutions in North America, who are ACG members, are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must have a mentor

Medical Student Research Award

Awards for students enrolled in medical/doctor of osteopathy degree programs to cover summer projects of 6-10 weeks to support research experience in gastroenterology and hepatology. Funds meant to cover applicant living expenses associated with research.

Amount/Duration: $5,000 ($500/week), $1,500 travel cost reimbursement

Eligibility:

  • One of the research mentors must already be a member to apply by the 12/6/19 deadline
  • Applicants must be enrolled in their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of med school
  • Applicants who already have funding are not eligible
